Feinwerkoptik Zünd – Website for Swiss Precision Optics

Feinwerkoptik Zünd AG is one of Europe's leading specialists in the development and manufacture of miniaturised optical components and systems: spherical lenses from 0.45 millimetres in diameter, plano optics, prisms and complete opto-mechanical assemblies – all the way to miniaturised camera systems and chip-in-tip systems for surgical robots and endoscopes. The family business with around 27 employees has been in the market for over 30 years and supplies customers across Europe and in the USA. It is based in Werdenberg SG – the little town that prides itself on being the smallest city in Switzerland.

A company manufacturing high tech at the tenth-of-a-millimetre scale needs a web presence that conveys this precision – and speaks equally to international customers from medical technology, industry, and space and defence. In 2024 we took on both design and development of the new website and built it on WordPress and Elementor.

The structure follows the company's logic: the three competencies of consulting, development and production map the path from idea to series manufacturing, while dedicated industry pages address medical technology and industrial customers with their specific requirements. History, team and jobs complete the picture – and since the customer base is international, the entire site is available in German and English.

Visually, the website carries the company's striking brand world through consistently: signal yellow and black as lead colours, dark stages for product photography on which lenses and prisms are presented like jewellery. Graphic elements such as the three-stage process visual from photonic concepts through system design to production translate complex workflows into clear imagery.

The result is a B2B calling card that lives up to the company's engineering craft: precise, unmistakable in its colour world – and, thanks to WordPress, kept up to date by the team in Werdenberg itself.
