Mietauto AG – Vehicle Rental with Craft CMS

Mietauto AG has been renting out delivery vans, minibuses and passenger cars as a family business since 1962 – founded by Rudolf Hochreutener, today with locations in Winterthur and Feuerthalen. The fleet ranges from compact city cars to buses with up to seventeen seats and vans with lifting platforms, all the way to trailers; added to this is a limousine and chauffeur service for events and business trips.

The brief for the new web presence was crystal clear: the rental should visibly stand out from every other provider – and the path from need to the right vehicle should be as short as possible. We delivered both with a distinctive, modern design: a friendly Swiss "Grüezi" tone, the striking red and dark blue colour world, and generous vehicle staging shape the site.

The centrepiece is vehicle selection: right in the hero, visitors choose between car, bus/van, delivery van and trailer via icon quick-select – or dive into the detailed search. The vehicle cards deliver at a glance what matters for the decision: seats, air conditioning, navigation, cargo dimensions for vans – and the starting price. From there, the path leads directly into online booking with availability checking.

So that first-time renters arrive with confidence, the website explains the rental process in four steps from reservation to return – including specials such as key-safe pickup outside opening hours or free pickup the evening before. Technically, the site is built on Craft CMS: vehicles, categories and content are structured and maintained by the team itself, and the entire site is bilingual in German and English.

The result is a rental presence with its own character: clear, fast to the goal – and with a design you will not find twice in the industry.
