Parkoshare – Parking Sharing App for iOS and Android

Anyone living in a Swiss city knows both sides of the problem: drivers circle the block looking for parking while private parking spaces sit empty during the day. This is exactly where Parkoshare comes in – the parking-sharing platform of Parkosecure GmbH, whose own website we already feature as a reference. Parkoshare brings empty private parking spaces together with the drivers who need them: verified, securely paid and fair – straight from the app.

Our mandate covered the complete product: concept, UX and UI design, and development for iOS and Android. The result is two apps – one for drivers looking for a space, one for owners renting out their space by the hour, day or month. Both share a common platform that handles booking, payment processing and payouts.

On the driver side, a real-time map with clusters, photos and prices leads to the right space – filterable by size, covered parking or EV charging. Booking and payment happen directly in the app, then the route navigates to the space; location and access instructions appear right after booking, and check-in is documented with photo and GPS position.

Trust is the hardest currency of any sharing platform – and there is a lot of logic under the hood accordingly: owners go through Stripe Connect onboarding including proof of ownership, payments are fully secured through Stripe, and money only flows after a successful booking – automatically paid out after the rental ends. Mutual reviews, server-side enforced cancellation rules and physical on-site checks by Parkosecure complete the security concept. Data is hosted on Swiss servers, compliant with the revised Swiss data protection act.

The duo is flanked by a four-language website (German, French, Italian, English) that explains the model to drivers and owners. The result is a complete digital product from a single source – from the first concept to the apps launching on the App Store and Google Play.
