ITRIS Maintenance AG – WordPress Multisite for Switzerland's IT Maintenance Leader
For almost 40 years, ITRIS Maintenance AG has been the leading provider of vendor-independent IT hardware maintenance and IT support in the DACH region – with more than 300 technicians, 250,000 systems under maintenance and clients such as SBB, Swisscom, Swatch and Migros. The existing website no longer did justice to the scale and professionalism of this company. The brief: a complete relaunch – not just for one website, but for the entire ITRIS Group as a connected multisite ecosystem.
The heart of the project is a WordPress multisite installation that unites five standalone websites with their own domains under one shared technical roof. Each website has its own design profile, its own content and its own navigation structure, but shares the same custom theme, the same custom plugins and a central user management. The result: maximum independence for each brand with minimal maintenance effort – a single theme update applies to all five sites at once.
The biggest challenge lay in the information architecture of the main site (maintenance.itris.ch). ITRIS offers a highly complex service portfolio: hardware maintenance for over 40 manufacturers, IT support services ranging from outsourcing and staff leasing to IMAC/R/D field service, international IT services in almost 50 countries, SLA models and industry-specific solutions for servers, storage, networks, POS, data centres, clients and printers. This depth had to be translated into a navigation that guides both the IT manager of a large corporation and the SME managing director to the right offering in just a few clicks.
Our solution: a tailor-made mega-menu navigation with two main branches (hardware maintenance and support service) that immediately reveals the relevant subpages at every level – without leading the user into dead ends. This navigation logic was individually adapted for each of the five websites, but follows a consistent UX pattern.
The entire multisite platform was implemented bilingually (German/French). Custom-built plugins handle specific display logic for manufacturer overviews, service comparisons and the locations section – reusable across all five websites. The result: a B2B enterprise platform that makes the ITRIS Group's 40 years of expertise digitally tangible – structured, professional, centrally manageable and flawlessly usable on all devices.
